My name is Michelle Vignon, LPC-Associate (supervised by Dr. Maria Flores). I received my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), Masters of Science that focused on gifted/high ability from Purdue University, and Masters of Art in Counseling from the Townsend Institute (directed by Dr. John Townsend) at Concordia University at Irvine.

After teaching for seventeen years, nine as a gifted specialist, I saw the need for counselors who could work with various types of neurodivergence, such as being gifted and ADHD. Seeing students struggle with intensities, underachievement, imposter syndrome, and 2e made me want to do more.

While working with the gifted I also saw the need for those who needed to move through life altering moments with grace and understanding. There is an understanding how one or more of these events can stay with a person. Please know that no matter how much time has passed healing is possible.

When working with those who are gifted or have experienced life altering events, people come into counseling with many strengths. As these strengths are identified and rediscovered they can be a part of your healing journey. You are an individual and as such will receive individualized care.

I love to watch movies and Broadway shows, have an intense craving to learn, and spending time with my family, friends, church family, and pets.

Life verse:

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,
12 that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever! (Psalm 30:11-12)
